My Tigrinus is small 4-5". And when I got him his gills looked really pink. I thought stress. But it's been about a week and it's still looks pink. I know when they get older and are happy it turns metallic blue. Is this normal. And does any one have any pics of their small Tigrinus? I have tons of aeration so it's no problem there.

I think that is pretty normal for younger Tigs :)

Just make sure the fins and where the fins where it connects to the body are not red or pink.

When i got mine it was 6 inches or so... the gills looked a little like that and slowly went away... so it is probably pretty common... but don't know if it was the camera angle or what but looks a little thin.... hope he is eating alright... goodluck with your baby that are great fish...
