Tigrinus Help :( any cause for worry ?

Hi all,

Saw this wound during this evening's feeding session and wonder if I should be worried about it :( I don't know what happened :( tank mates are a kelberi n a VATF.

Ouch. got any tank decor ?? should heal up alright but your eye on the fish. if it shows loss of appetite then separate it and treat. all cats are quick healers.
 
got any driftwood or anything in there? pictures kinda hard to tell cuz its outta focus, something could grabbed his tail or he coulda burnt it on a heater but it doesnt really look like a burn, if theres sharp driftwood or pots in there i think he coulda cut himself. whenever any of my cats got a wound id add aquarium salt but idk how tigs handle salt, that was always with RTC and hybrids. but i think salt would be a good idea

No tank decor ;) appetite is still very good :) and goes around looking for MP.

There's no heater and DWs. The only decor I have in the tank is my submersible Sicce powerhead attached with a DIY prefilter but I have been using it for so long and there hasn't been any problems. Not sure why now :( :( I hope he will be fine :)
 
sounds like another fish then, watch for aggression and becareful that it doesnt happen again. i think hell be ok just watch for any change in attitude or temperment

I only have 3 fish inside my 6' :) I hope he heals fast :( coz he has flawless texture and the wound is just spoiling his nice stripe patterns :p
 
he might have a scar
 
lesson one dnt keep it with a vatf, trust me.
