Hi all, I purchased a small 5" Tigrinus catfish a few days ago and just had a few questions. It's my first one and I've read up pretty much every tigrinus thread on here in regards to care and diet and I wouldn't know otherwise without this community so much appreciated!

It was sold to me as a Tigrinus but I just wanted to clarify as I know they are very similar to a jurunese?

From what I've seen online, the tigs I have seen have white color base (mine is blue ish), with the stripes going all the way down to the the bottom of the body and all around, while the stripes on mine seem thicker but not going across the whole body.

If someone has kept a small tig around my size and have grown it to adult size, does it change drastically to the white color base and the stripes extend further downwards (like a zebra), or is this the pattern that I can expect even growing into adult size?

I figured it has to be perhaps different variations or something of that sort which would make sense but not sure. Here are some pics:

That's a tigrinus, how much you paid for it?

That's a tig all right.

As the fish grows, the pattern will change wildly. At this stage it's impossible to predict with any certainty what the fish will look like as an adult.
