Hello all Mfks,

Need your help, this is my second tigrinus already and it is showing the same problem like the first one i got at 3".
Its been swimming upwards and puking feeders i gave it. This was what happen to my very first 3"tigri, and the symptoms is coming back for my second one i bought yesterday! its about 5". any help???

Any help pls! those that kept tigrinus from 3-5" small.

i don't think im over feeding it. the feeders(catfish) are around 0.5 - 1".
Water parameters? PH- 7.0 Ammonia- 0.5, what else do i need to look out for?

Consider adding some current in the lower water column and make sure you have good aeration. Thats probable why hes is swimming along the top. Perform partial water changes until the ammonia is 0. Tig like very good water conditions. When I upgraded my tank it went through a full cycle and my Tig did very well. I used a product called Sress-zyme( it seemed to help). Feed 2-3 x a week, try black worms. A tank full of feeders will pollute your water. Baby Tigs often die as result of overfeeding. Good luck

Ammonia should be zero for a cycled tank. Nitrite & Nitrate reading?

Yup i changed half of the water and add water from my other tank where the water reading should be very much better. and for the Nitrite and Nitrate, i dont have the test kit for it.

Yes true that on a trigrinus liking very good water conditions, changed the water before i went out today and it is better now. acting very normal on the ground looking good, and still eating. but now i'm working on the overfeeding problem. i just dropped a whole pack of feeder and now he is spamming, and its tummy is really huge. i did that even before logging in to see on the result of overfeeding... DAMN!!

did i read corect? your feeding the tig feeder catfish? if so that may be the problem or i rear wrong

Yea i'm feeding the Tig feeder catfish, its wrong to do so??
