Ime they're about even as far as aggression. Both can be territorial with juruense being a little more out going. Make a growout thread when you get it.

T1 , what made you go Jur?

I have both of them, size at around 10''-12'' each, and I think they are equally aggressive.
But there is little bit difference, based on mine, that my tig usually shows aggressiveness during the dark, in the other side, my juruense shows it all day and night.
It's just like that my juruense doesn't want any other fishes touch its barbel at anytime, except food.
Is that normal?

I've written in that other (2008) thread that IME tigs are more aggressive than jurs. My tig experience is limited to 2 juvies. Jurs - about half a dozen of juvies. I suck at keeping them alive. Mine usually end up prey to others or victims of accidents.
