How active are these guys? hardy?Any pics?
I quite fancy one of these guys never really liked bigger cats but these guys are outstanding.
Any thoughts from anyone whose kept them.

they are nice catfish. care is just like any other catfish. good feedings and clean water. btw just a heads up. dont keep the tig with that crayfish in your avatar. or else youll only have a crayfish :)

I'm fine with that, i keep alot of very sedentry fish.
I was going to put it in a 55 gallon growout possibly with a jurenese of equal size (both 2" what do you guys think?) theh move them into a 180 which is very understocked atm.

I'm going ahead with an 800 march next year anyway so as long as they're ok till then its no problem, i've seen tigs kept with gars but what are juruenese like, they would be with 2 trop gars a florida and a few poly's once they go into the 180.

don't mix with Jur. I have tried several times, they will end up fighting, esp. in a 55. Focus only on the tig if you want one, they are delicate, that is partly why they cost so much. once established they can be hardy. aerate the water well.
Ok, if i raised them separate then put them in the 180 once they reached 8" would that work?

I wouldn't put with a jurense either. It's just not worth it, keep one or the other or else no streamers.
