Tilapia are they cool?

there are a few species of brackish fish in the tilapia genus, but you'd be hard pressed to find them in the aquaria trade

I bought 20 of them to feed my arowana but my arowana died. Each were 1cm long and the guy told me they are from backrish water and I can put them in freshwater. I was just wondering what type of system do they belong to [fresh, backrish or marine]

post some picks and we can tell you what kind of tilapia they are, but they will live in freshwater just fine, they are super hardy fish too, but most of them get huge, up to 15 " and they grow fast

I will take few pics. How fast do they grow?
Growth rate is dependent on to many variables such as tank size, water conditions, food rations, etc hence it will usually vary depending on how the aquarist raises them.

all of them will be able to live in pure freshwater, although there are some that are permanent inhabitants of marine environments.
