Hi there, I have the great fortune of having the space and time to build a very large indoor pond for my amazonian beasts. I breed nile tilapia for a friends' aquaponics trade here and have plenty of slightly imperfect examples from every batch, would they be any good for predatory amazonian fish like TSNs or RTCs? They get a home-made 100% organic food for their whole lives and I can easily gut-load 'em with whatever may be required. I also have a cricket colony and a dubai roach colony (the aro loves roaches!) so they can be loaded with those, which in turn can be loaded with whatever....

Adult and Sub-Adult Tilapia are actually pretty spiny fish (pectoral and dorsal ray spines). I have got quite a few cuts from them while fishing. Don't some of the larger cats have soft palates(sp)? It would be a shame to see a monster TSN choke on a feeder Tilapia....
