Tilapia buttikoferi sexing??

does anyone know how to tell male from female in talapia buttikoferi???

Not the easiest thing to do, not a lot of external methods, we got some young buttikoferi in at work a while back and dispite only being around 2-2.5" there were signs of some pairing off, ive always found the males to be brighter coloured.

The best way would probably be to the vent sex them. Also they are incedibly hard to pair and the males usually tend to kill the female.
