A really, striking fish!
I saw them on different occasions at PetWorld when I lived in NY
Living in Madison WI, now
I love the dedication and respect given to the hobby here in Midwest
Looking for buttikoferi,
Fry if possible, but I'll settle for medium too
Got a pair of Jack Dempseys and a Red Devil in a 55gal, and they've almost outgrown it
Definitely moving to at least a 120 gallon by March 2013
I'm liking the idea of a South American tank, but absolutely into getting a Flowerhorn too
Any info on where/if I could make that happen, here in Madtown
Would be gratefully appreciated.
 
Just FYI, none of those fish are South American, and neither is the Tilapia. A 120 would be okay, but the Tilapia will end up killing the other fish eventually.

They will eat almost anything except plant leaves. They will still munch on some, though. Usual growth rate is beyond 1" per month. When they hit 8", all your other fish are dead. They'd like to bite others on their faces. Lastly, shouldn't you be posting this in the marketplace?
 
Killer Wet Pets would scratch my glass tank with his teeth trying to attack my rag when wiping outside the tank
