I recently purchased a 11" tb a month ago. He has a few flaws in his top fin but otherwise he's in great shape and has really good color. The problem is that he won't eat anything I put in the tank for him. You name it I've tried it. I tried starving him for a week or two but he still won't touch any of the food. He doest even pay it any attention. Also he just stays in one place and stares at me almost all the time. He has never tried to dig in the gravel at all. He's never so much as picked up a piece of gravel to move it or even shown any agression towards me, not even when cleaning his tank. Waters perfect Tempature and ph is just right to. What do I do? I'm affraid he's gonna end up dying soon. Pls help!

*** NOT MY POST, NEW GUY ON THE FORUM PUT IT IN HIS BLOG, JUST TRYING TO HELP OUT *** I'll send him the link and hopefully he'll pop up..

theyre smart and can be quite moody. soon as he gets comfortable the gravel will start piling up. also mine hid a bunch until i threw in a blood parrot and he started coming out of his shell then. also sometimes seems to be picky eaters but never had a problem with frozen peas and blood worms

Don't let them fool you. Let them starve, they wont die but you gotta play with. They will kill no joke

Thx for the responces! ill just keep starving him til he comes around. Inthe meantime i might find him a formidable buddy to see if that makes him a bit more comfortable.
