I assume its easier to keep clean, but it looks so bland.........My opinion

My friend does tile. Really liked it. I liked the look also would do that vs bare bottom but I still like sand best.

I already got rid of all my sand in prep. For tile. Mainly Bcuz I want easier cleaning, also I want rays. And I don't want the rays hiding and or constantly kicking up the sand.

I use tile as substrate but only because my tank is 4ft tall and I want it to be easy to clean. I also have 4 powerheads that blow debree toward my filter intakes that would disturb sand. The upside is that if you set it up right you never have to vacuum.
The Bottom line is that its easier to keep clean but does not look nearly as good as sand or gravel.

Very nice. And neat job with the broken tile. How do u like the tile bottom. Any concerns?

I havent had any experience in tiled tank bottoms but if i plan to tile the bottom, is it necessary to grout as well? Dunno if it sounds crazy but i would want to try just putting the fitted tiles in while the fishes are there, no more cement or adhesive stuff..
