hey i wanted to put a tile or stone or ceramic at the bottom of my fish tank since its nice and easy to clean like bare bottom but which are safe and which are bad i dont want to raise my ph or anything i dont mind what ever can lower my ph but which tile is safe and bad also do tiles get algae fast or can my pleco clean it

i have granite in mine. marble is ok and ceramic also. algae does build up but just like it would on glass. slate also looks good and is safe

I have slate & ceramic tile pieces as habitat & they look nice & fish seem to like 'em & don't seem to affect the water. Slate might be problematic though as it's sedimentary so may have other things in it. I'd actually avoid marble as it's limestone-based. Granite or ceramic or glass would be the suggestion.
