Tile substrate

well i found a downside to it. while vaccuming out the tank today i bumped on of the tiles. all kinds of fish poo. so i moved a few more pieces........and well i think i found part of my nitrate problem. it will still take a few more water changes to finish cleaning all the garbage out of my tank.

I had this problem with an under gravel filter I used to take up space. No power head or bubbles used. Just a way to use less substrate.

When I was switching to sand I took it out and there was about a half inch of straight up blue fish poo!
