Timber frame in a fireplace.

Hi all.

I am setting up a 500L tank in an inglenook, in an old cottage. I have built a 12” platform from 4x2 timber. When located in place the timber frame is sitting proud on a few brick that are raised. Is this something to be concerned about? Or what can I do to remedy the problem?

Should not be a problem with that sturdy stand you got there. Check your level several times after you fill it to make sure it doesnt settle off kilter.

I’m going to get some nylon packers to push in the gaps, just to be double sure
