I want to take my 125 from a african cichlid tank to maybe 4 or 5 big fish. I am looking at 1 jaguar, 2 peacock bass, 1 arowana, 1 tiger shovelnose catfish. What do yall think. Will it work?

Maybe I could drop the jaguar for another peacock?

aro wouldnt fit, and i dont think a tiger shovel nose would either. i think the pbass are to big to but i dont know mich about them and i could be wrong. i would go for at least one oscar, knife fish and bichirs. (and others)

Your list seems overstocked to house all those for life. What is your filtration like?

maybe not 4 or 5 big fish, but a firemouth, con, salvini, and a mid sized cat might do:popcorn:

You could go with a nice Lima Shovelnose Cat, the tiger grows to 3' I believe. As for the Pbass Maybe 1 mono could live in there for a couple of years. No arowana could live in there for life. After reading I think IMO that the minimum for an Aro is 6'L 30" W for most species besides the silver and Leichardti(sp). I don't know anything about the Jaguar is it a cichlid? How about some nice Red Bay Snooks? The males get up to 20", and the females average 12-15" If I remember not to mention they're beautifull. There's also Datnoides. I'd say that you could get away with 1 Datnoid in your tank Just not a widebar or Siamese Tiger because they get up to 24".
