I Just added some large rocks that I cleaned properly and sterilized with boiling water, added them to my 120 along with a few pieces of driftwood from the fish store also appropriately soaked.

My tank is cloudier than usual and the woods growing that fungus like usual because its new. I'm doing water changes every day, how long before it should be okay ?

Only inhabitants are 3 archer fish. I'm taking the tank down from 0.02 SG to 0.00 and moving them. I'm hoping to set up a planted south american tank so it would be nice to know how long before the tank clarity stabilizes itself.

Thanks

What sort of substrate are you using in the tank if any? Since thats the only thing i could think of causing cloudiness unless the parameters or something else maybe off?

I haven't touched the substrate its sand that's been in there for months. Do you think the sand is causing the cloudyness. I've had some filter clogging trouble too that I fixed yesterday I think it may have contributed

Maybe your tank is going through a mini-cycle after messing with the filter? I'd give it a day or two and see what happens...

Yeah I guessed the same, it is also possible that the fungus that grows on manzanita wood when its new is clouding the water.

the archers are all fine, normal coloration and feeding like usual. I think everything should be okay
