I have been treating my EBJD, and Discus for Hexamita a.k.a. internal parasites, they turned dark alomst black, and had long white stringy feces. I have been treating with metronidozale, and praziquantel tablets. This is the sixth day I have been doing a 90% water change on the quarantine tank they are in every other day and they have been medicated three times. Most are eating again but are still very dark in color and I see no long stringy waste right now. How long should I continue treatment for those of you that are familar with the disease?

I normally medicate as indicated on the bottle (if the fish wont eat)... Afterwards give them a few days to recover and see how they are doing after treatmet...
If they are still sick, i treat again if they look like they can handle it...
But otherwise i normally soak their food in meds and feed that way...
