Timna Park is 30 kms north of Eilat, which is in the African Rift Valley.
Haven't visited the park for a number of years so I was pleased to see how well the Tiger Tilapia are doing there.The lake is fed by subterranean lakes of very "mineralised" water.The fish can be acclimatised to freshwater over a few hours of gradually adding fresh water to a few gallons taken from the lake.
I returned on my motorcycle very early in the morning to collect some for my vacuum-enhanced aquariums.
There are over 60kms of roads around the park which is home to King Soloman's copper mine and a number of most goodly rock formations.
