eww yea I have a few random goldfish hangin in my tank with my cats, plecos and fronstosas and when my plecos are "throwing a party with streamers" the goldfish eats it! yuck. Im curious too, sorry I couldnt help, Im just as curious
Maybe it's the "tasty turd" syndrome!!

Yeah, take my Geo. for instance. He "eats" mouthfuls of sand, but only "ingests" what is edible, the rest gets diverted through the gill plates.

Fish eat poo due to a natural instinct to grab the food or another meal may not come for a few more days. My 4" BN plec produces 6" turds they get caught on the driftwood and signal that he's had a good night.
The worst part with my Bala Sharks is that they eat the poo as almost any fish would, but then leave it in there for a second on average (And when you time it, its a long time to be sitting in your mouth) and blow it all out in broken up shreds.Delhezi222;1314954; said:
