I used to have 5 tins that where about 14". They would do a lot of bumping like your vid but sometimes more aggressively. Mine never laid eggs but it seemed like a breeding ritual to me. I tried adding tins to my tank again and they all were decapitated by the rays

i had 3 massive gold ones 14inch this red and black tail type eat ray crap thats why im upping the shoal to 8
the gold type dont eat ray crap

they have been with 16inch disk rays for over 2 years no probs

Had them for years in many differant types of tanks never saw any eggs. I think they will breed in large outdoor ponds but never saw any breeding in a tank. They like all barbs seeem to do this ritual.
