Tinfoil barb questions about flukes

I don't know of any reason why Fluke tabs would harm TFB's if dosed properly.

What are you treating for skin/gill/eye flukes?

Prior to placement in quarantine I like to use a strong salt dip to try and get any unseen external parasites, e.g. Flukes & etc, to drop off the host.
This works prior to beginning a treatment too.

Tinfoils are typical cyprinids and as such are fairly hardly and tolerant to meds if the meds are used as directed.

Use them as directed, add a bubbler or powerhead for extra O2, most fish fish that are sensitive to them are scaleless, small scaled, or hyper-active. Tinfoills are fairly hardy and even tolerate copper-based meds. I am not sure which flukje med you are using but most are based on either copper or formalin. tinfoils tolerate both at levels that kill most cats and loaches,m once more, follow the package directions, ODs will kill even the most tolerant of fish.

I would have to spend more time than I have right now to look up that combo but from what I recall any Methyl or benzyl, and dimethyl, combo is hard on loaches, not so bad on most cats or spiney eels, so-so on knifefish, and murder on mormyrids. Cyprinids are not mentioned as far as being sensitive to trhem but I would be careful with the fast water ones like the barilus species. You should be fine with tinfoils, extra O2 or surface agitation is never amiss when adding any med.
