Tinfoil barbs white spots?

some of my tinfoil barbs seem to have very little tiny white spots above the head going toward the dorsal fin i don't think it is white spot cos they don't seem to be ailing anything i was wondering could it to do with males getting ready to breed like male gold fish getting white spots on the gills
any suggestions or anybody know what it is

Not sure but males do develope tubercules, here is a description

yeh i will just not that easy when camera wraped in a present under the tree

One site I saw said the family Cyprinidids will have spots, sores or whatever on their heads when it is breeding season.
