Tiny baby black bullheads

LFS had a couple of teeny black bullhead catfish. They are an inch long, and maybe as much as 3/16 of an inch in diameter! Really small guys, but cute!

They said they wanted $20 each for them (was thinking of getting one). I'm in Maryland, USA. This sounds way overpriced, or am I missing something? I don't usually see them in LFS' round here, but damn! :WHOA:
 
If they are really black bullheads, thats a rip off. I don't know about where you live but in South Dakota you can catch your own. I think they are found all over the U.S.

Give them a buck for the both and then let him know just how illegal it is for them to be selling native species.

How is that different than stores selling channel cats?
 
really i didn't know it was illegal to sell natives but total rip off dude just got to a lake or pond with bullheads in it there will be babys at some point look for a moving black cloud in the water when young thay trevel in large scools very easy to catch 1.not very fast like sunfish 2.lots so your bound to catch atleast one 3. out during the day 4. sometimes in shallow water and mostly by the surface
