Hey guys ,

There are very tiny cotton like stuff that keeps growing on the internal glass of my tank. I have to clean it so often like every 2 weeks or so. I have smooth surface rocks in the tank and those tinyt cotton like stuff grows on it too.Is this common or my filteration isnt really powerful enough? Any chemical solution i can add to prevent this?
I also heard that pleco might be able to clean it, well , i tried putting one in and it died

The fishes seems healthy and im not sure if those cotton like stuff are harmful baterial or what.

They are small fluffy cotton like patches. Im not sure if they are leftover food cuz' they spread across quite evenly, even on all surface of tank panel. Im suspecting its about filtration as one of the canister is going cranky..i not too sure tho lol

I had the same problem when I left for vacation for 2 weeks.
I had a film of "lint" & algae all over the tank, so I did a 90%
water change, scrubbed everything down and removed the
driftwood, stones & plants. Its been a week now, hasn't came
back; and now for my weekly water changes :)
