Blue Gene Babies, Fall River Lady, Dancin in the sand(and gravel).
The fry are free swimming and healthy!! I made my own separater and overflow so they wouldnt get eaten or sucked into the filter. They are tiny but growing fast. I love watching them grow and mom is very protective. At first they were slipping through the holes in the plexy glass I drilled for the separater. So every hour or so I would have to scoop them up and put them back... Little troublemakers. Now they are too big to fit so no worries. Here are some pics of the fry and parents! Will be for sale in a month or two!!

The "bloody lip" in the first 2 pics is from his girlfriend. He has since healed, gotten beat up again and healed. They fight every time they spawn right after the spawn is complete.

My female, when she's in spawn mode... she stays jet black and purple and terrorizes every fish in my tank that gets too close to her "area". Even her mate. They're a bonded pair, he defends her from any of the other fish and then she beats the crap out of him. It's almost humorous lol

Thanks! Will keep updated. My female also get very dark and territorial. But I built a separator to keep the other fish safe, including her bf.
