Tiny dats 1st time buy

So I picked up my first trio of dats today
2 where labeled 3 or 4 bar and the other I ve forgot already indo maybe?
I’ve never seen them soooo tiny I couldn’t pass them up seeing they all looked so active and priced fair $10 each
any advice or input on a newbie to dats

Hey!
I saw this a minute ago lol.I have never bought any dats that small but someone posted in another thread to try them on small sinking pellets.It may be easier to train them according to the poster.

They are so tiny I’d say less that half inch
Any recommendations for pellets for these tiny guys ?
I tossed in some
Live blood worms and they gobbled them
Up but yes I’d like to pellet train them

Agreed to get them on pellets soon as you can, suggest to try Hikari Vibra Bites, as they kind of look like blood worms and/or Hikari Sinking Carnivore cut into smaller pieces.

I had a dat that small before and it ended up dying because it couldnt eat pellets. I will never buy another small dat in my life lol.. They are skittish and refuse to eat anything other than blood worms in my experiences. Mine ended up getting pretty skinny and one random day tanks mates bullied the poor guy to death.

I’ve managed to keep all 3 alive
Only feeding frozen omega one blood worms untill they get a bit bigger
I’m just trying to keep them alive with full bellies they seem to have grown slightly
Very active very fun fish
