Tiny fish tank...

When I first starting keep fish when I was about seven(and didn't know any better), I kept them in a tiny 5 gal acrylic. Now it's just sitting in the garage collecting dust. I plan to fill it up and just keep a beta in it.

Are there anything other options you would suggest for stock?

Cherry red shrimp, snails and a single dwarf puffer. Thats what I have in mine along with a bunch of java moss and a java fern. Its pretty much self-sustaining at this point...just add water.

i would do a planted tank with ghost shrimp--it would look really cool

Planted with spotted guppies, ghost shrimp, and maybe a coolie loach.
