hehe I cant believe its appitite and growth rate.

yep thats the main problem with them.

Even the somewhat responsible person gets them thinking they can live in a 2-300 gallon tank for life. Only to have a big problem in a year or so.

Just wait till it starts eating its tank mates.

Sounds like minds when it was younger. Mine is around a year old and is an easy 20in and weighs a ton. Got any pics of him?

thats about normal, maybe even slightly better than average for a red belly pacu. from the size of a quarter to a few inches shy of 2' in around 1 year has been my experience. then real, real slow after that. seems maybe 2" or so a year...

they are absolute beasts.

did you say nearly 2 feet in ONE year?
are you sure?

You actually weighed your Pacu...

never had a pacu, but cool stuff dude

i think pacu should be banned from being sold in stores its really too ridiculous how fast these guys get huuuuuge!

did not weigh him but 4 of the fish I baught 2 weeks ago can fit inside the one i have now.......hehehe

People, there is a simple solution to all our Pacu woes... eat em, there's a reason they are an appreciated food fish...
