i got a few very small snake in at work and there are too small to eat pinkies. garder snake, corn snake and king snake. all are about 4-5" long. what should i feed them, crickets and mealworms aren't working

there's no such thing as 4 or 5 inch corn or kings. Feed them newborn pinkies.

The garter snake - guppies.

well they are tiny. i didnt measure them but they aren't even as big around as a pen

Exactly - so do what I said :)

Baby corns and kings eat pinky (2-3 day old) mice. trust us, they can take them. Ignore the 'girth rule' when they are that small. Besides, the 'girth rule' is an old school myth anyway. Some snakes regularly eat meals that are larger than they are around (rat snakes, king snakes, corn snakes, etc) while other snakes do better with food that is much smaller than they are around (boas, ball pythons, etc).

baby corns and kings will def take day old or a couple of day old mice... You'd be suprised. If you want to feed the garter mice, you can try feeding it things like tail, and limbs.

from cats and dogs? LOL

They are All Right! Snakes can stretch their Jaw Bones, since their bone is NOT Connected to their head..... like our's is. So they can eat pinkies. But the Garder snake should eat worms at this time.

i used to have a corn snake and we fed him pinkys when he was that size and when i found a garter the nice people at mfk instructed me to feed him tadpoles and guppies and it worked so i suggest you do the same
