Tiny white worm infestation

I noticed that my tank glass is loaded with these tiny white worms that are visible to the naked eye from approx 6 inches away. These worms are maybe 1 mm in lenght.

What are they and what can rid my tank of them ?

Can they affect my fish ?

Is it Planaria by chance? Small wiggly white worms. They shouldn't pose any threat to your other tank inhabitants.

+1, planaria and harmless, just cut back on the feeding a touch if you want them gone.

Vacuuming the gravel will help too. My friend told me that if you use Novaqua by Kordon it will make them go away. I think it is the stress coat of the conditioner that they don't like.
