Not sure what these are, but I noticed them a few days ago on the glass of my tank. They are very small, so I don't think they are bristle worms which everyone seems to get. They seem more like some sort of parasite. By tiny I mean about the width of a few human hairs and about 1/32" long. Anyone know what they could be?

My tank has live sand and a piece of live rock in it. The fish are 3 archers, 3 GSPs and 1 Niger Trigger.

Thanks for the help!

if it has a u shape in its tail its probably a flat worm and only two way to get rid of them, flatworm exit and a six line wrasse.

I attempted to take pics, but had no luck. These are VERY small! I looked at flatworms and I really doubt these are them. They are probably the size of freshly hatched brine shrimp. They are only on the glass, I can't see any in the sand currently (sand is white...lol). I will attempt to take pics with my friends SLR later tonight, but my P&S cam won't seem to catch them. Keep in mind, size is roughtly 2 hairs in diameter and only about 1/32" or less long. Sorry I can't be more descriptive, but thats about all there is to them.

Also, on a side note, how long do brine shrimp live in saltwater rougly? I think I see some in there from when I hatched some and let them in, but I didn't think they lived very long???

do a search man. you would find so many threads about this. theyre called planaria. harmless worms that come out because your tank isnt clean or you got food in there for them to feed on.

most questions you got have been answered previously in mfk history. so a quick search would save everyone time.

and theyre not flatworms. im PRETTY sure.

I did search several times, but with no idea what to call them it is kinda pointless using search terms like "white worms" or worms....

Hopefully they are just "planaria," but my reading said they are commonly freshwater, but I suppose that doesn't limit them not to salt. I didn't get the best picture, but here is all I can do. Keep in mind my tank is kinda old and scratched up on the side, so I circled the ones that are them.

very possible they are planaria ( the good kind, yes, there are good and bad planaria ), will feed on copepods and their levels in the tank will rise and fall depending on the copepod population...

Yea, thats probably it, I see these little things I thought were brine shrimp, but very small, so those must be copepods. Oh well, at lease the fish are fine!

I just noticed these in my tank today, however not in my main tank per se, they are in the small hatching hang off i have in my main tank... The worms are tiny...

They are kinda like these but maybe about 1/8th the size and not as active... they actually look like vinegar eels... but they shouldnt be able to survive that long in freshwater i dont think...

There are also small i wanna say shrimp like creatures... they are NOT baby shrimp... probably bout the same size as baby brine shrimp, it looks like they have a main section and two small round back sections... like Starfox's ship... same structure...
