My wild caught heros have, to my surprise, just laid eggs. I've been told that they are either wild caught peruvians or appendiculatus. They're only about three inches, but lo and behold, I have a piece of slate covered with about 100 eggs.

Can I get any tips or experiences from people that have take care of these eggs and breeding, specifically on wild caughts?

Congrats! I agree with Cam. Give them the chance and see how they do with their eggs.

Sweet! Any tips on what to feed the young?
Baby brine shrimps? You could try a bit of egg yolk from a hard boiled egg and suspend it in a jar of water. Use medicine dropper and squirt the water with egg yolk into the tank. Don't overdo it as it tends to cloud up the water. There are special foods available for the fry in your local stores. Also, try adding some plants such as Riccia fluitans. They harbor microorganisms which can serve as a food for the fry.
