Tips for feeding?

Well like the title implies, how do you guys feed your fish. Right now in my tank i am trying to keep the jar (bout 6 inches)well fed so he don't go killing things. only had the jar for like 3 week so its still shy. The problem is i have a jd that i have for a little bit and he is not shy at all. i feed mp,cricket, talapia, and goldfish( taken from my gf tank, so she can get new fish) . the jd will literally just keep stuffing itself until there's so much food in his mouth that he can't swallow anymore. Meantime the jar is the other end of the tank. so any ideas?

Drop in food at both ends of the tank that way maybe the jd eats at one end and the jar can eat at the other

spot feed the jar or use feeding tongs or wooden skewers with the food on the other end and put it infront of the jar.

dropping food in both ends is working, but now my dads blood parrots are stealing food , well at least hes eating now. i get the feeling that when the jar hits that abusive age my jd and blood parrots will be on the receiving end

but good to hear your Jar is eating hope all goes well
