Tank - 625g

9 Bass - 8”-10”

I’d presume a Dither fish is the first answear...

they ripped up my last pack of SD’s... only 4-4” - maybe bigger?

seems my Farmie Gang has segregated and been attacking everything else in the tank?

last time i took out the Orino that was doing this... and i’ve had months of relative peace..

do you guys remove fish/sell and try others until harmony or?

been trying to sex them, only one obvious male..

gonna change decor -

Looking good! Tbh I just let it happen I figure they are cichlids, they never seem to figure out the pecking order or it’s constantly changing with fish challenging one another. I think it makes males grow the nuchal hump and bass get brighter colors, I don’t know I really don’t stress about it unless there is a huge size difference and the smaller bass isn’t big enough to “fight back”. Maybe someone else can give better advice on this subject.

very good, they are all about the same size 1”-2”

there has just been a run on trashed fins, scrapes, and the two biggest farm/ocel pretty much monitor the back mopani reef for movement... and strike at any of the residents...

just mixed up decor and did a good water change and gravel vac...

it pains me to see them pic on this 12”-14” sail-fin catfish - i just expanded the cover area of the tank...

we’ll see!

thanks for comments!

The fish look to be in excellent condition....fins and tails look pretty good. They leave the aro alone? Thats a lot of gravel to vacuum!!

ya, mistakes were made... somewhere i read 1.5 lbs per gallon... it was 1000#’s i ordered...

put in 800#’s or so.... it does take 30 minutes probably to do it...

the Arow is one of my Fav’s , very peaceful! i’ve only seen one minor skirmish... first sign of anything i’ll pull it or the offender....

long term going to separate them and put bass in a 10’ tank...

so far it’s peaceful, even added the Orino back to the group that was living in my QT - 150g for behavioral issues ?

Cheers!

Some Orino’s can be major punks, the two I currently own are damn peaceful by comparison to some of the previous O’s I’ve owned
