please give me some advice or personal experiences with some of the fish i have. Tell me what you think and what i could do better. I'm very aware of the requirements for each fish and all are on pellets or dead food. here are some pics of the fish i keep. the tank is 75 gallons and i am aware of the fish that will outgrow it. the fish are florida gar, lima shovel nose, channel catfish, JD, blood parrot cichlid and ornate bichir. the channel cat is going in my multi-hundred gallon out door pond and my gar(which is a rescue fish from a 30 gallon tank[it was 10" when i got it for free] and it had a badly broken nose), lima and ornate will all be moved to a 125(which I'm also aware the gar will outgrow) when its finished. the JD, blood parrot cichlid and others will likely remain in the 75 unless their is a problem but i have a 50 gallon ( 36" x 18" x 20") back up tank. filtration is a fluvial 405 and G3. heater is 125 watts and lighting is am LED marine land light. the background is one of those flexible 3D backgrounds. the picture that shows my gar eating a feeder fish is a couple of weeks after i got him and didn't want to stress him out by getting him on different foods. now, many months later, he eats hikari cichlid gold(floating, these are the highest quality non sinking pellets in my area) and market shrimp that i hand feed him. the last pic of the lima is him shedding. any questions? just ask.

First, it looks like you have a solid plan for when the fish outgrow the 75, kudos to that. Second, very nice tank I like the background.
Your tank looks well cared for and the fish healthy. Keep with what is working with a good water change regime.

Thank you. I do water changes at least once a week.

I also have a current problem. I'm considering selling most of my fish(but keeping the ornate, gar and parrot[and putting the catfish in my pond]) to get a red tail payara that they are selling at my LFS for $100. Should i do it?

Red tail payara are awesome! ***** they are very skittish and will jump if not outgrow every tank. I think they get over 2' and can kill a lot of different fish. This is off the top of my head so I might be wrong...

Your thinking of armatus. Red payara won't get bigger than 14" and are friendly to things that don't brother it. The hard part about mixing then is that some fish ate too agressive for them.
