I have a pretty decent digital camera, yet all the pics I attempt to take still come out worse than pics I've seen posted here taken with a cell phone. Can anyone provide tips for getting some of the great looking pictures I've seen here?

Thanks.

no light from behind you, no flash unless you put the camera against the glass, use sparse backlighting- enough to show the fish but not enough to silhouette them

Sometimes you can defeat it by pushing the button half way down to pre-focus then move the camera in or out quickly to change the field of focus, takes practice but it usually works.

for other fish... try feeding time... get like a feeding ring... since it keeps the food in one spot... u can just focus on that place and snap photos as they go in for some chow!)

ENJOY!
