I recently purchased an African brown knife along with a baby delhezi. They are both in a QT 29g tank and will be moved to a 125 in the near future. my abk trends to hide in a vase ornament most of the time. I noticed he is much more active when the lights are off.

The abk is around 4-6 inches. I feed them singing pellets but I never see my abk eat them. Last night I threw in some blood worms while there was no light on and I saw the abk ate them.

Are there any tips you guys can give me regarding feeding my abk? Like should I just stick with blood worms? Should I only feed him when the lights are out? Does anyone else feed their abk pellets(if so what kind)? What foods have you guys had success with?

I have two abk in my 90 and they eat just about everything offered. They eat hikari floating pellets,NLS,thawed out hikari krill, pieces of shrimp. They where shy at first so I did feed with the log got but they quickly overcame that.

I'm gonna try feeding him in the dark again tonight. I've read that they are more outgoing once they get more comfortable with their tank. Do yours get along? I wanted to get more than one but herd that they don't do well with their own kind once they get bigger.
