Hello all MFK's I need your help and advice.
I picked up my new Royal Ghostknife from the airport last night and I am very happy with it's size (approx 20cm) and apperance as they are very expensive here in Australia and especially hard to obtain here in Melbourne.
I have placed the fish in my 6x2x2 with a 45cm Saratoga and a 40cm Petenia Splendida and three large Gibbies.
I want the RGK to settle in without being to stressed and wanted to know if clay pipes are good?
Do they need some pipes or caves or are large pieces of drift wood enough?
Should I turn the tank flouro's off?
He was very scared initially and as the picture shows hid behind the power head filter as the Petenia checked him out.
But has now settled in behind the dift wood pieces at the back of the tank.
What should I do to make my fish more comfortable??

you actually have a royal clown knifefish, and the will get about 2 feet long and any hiding place is good as the like to hide during the day.

Yes, sorry my mistake.
What is the Acronym??

Royal Clown Knife=RCK

Give it some hiding spaces and it'll feel more comfortable out in the open.

Yeah, I agree they have to have some kind of cover in order to feel comfortable. I would also recommend you to feed them with the lights out-new CK tend to be a bit shy. As they grow will become more observant of their surroundings including their owners-atleast my did.

Ramesh, hidding place for day is needed. make a DIY project of night lighting to benefit from your purchase. I used a led bulb. 7 for my 300x80x80 cm tank.

what is the latin name of RCK?

not 2ft my ck is 3ft and ye lots of pipees i also suggest you add some plants fake if u want just 2 give osme more cover mine spends alot of time sitting in my onion plants

If not the Petenia I would be worried the Jardini would in the end. A bit small and fragile for those companions.
