Whats up mfk's. I'm transferring my RTC and Silver Aro to a new set up. They are about 21-22" both. From personal experience what was your method. They are pissed.

cooler

Yes use a cooler, bagging them would be retarded the arowana would go right through the bag. Make sure you have an airstone in the water at all times aswell.

I used the retarded method to move my two 27" silvers and 20" black. Use double bags, get the biggest shipping bag you can from your LFS. The bag will be heavy so having a container to place the bag in after you round up the aro would be necessary. Netting or using a pillow case, towel, tee shirt can damage the aros eyes and barbels.

Good luck.

Your moving them within the same location, right? Not over any sort of long distance?

How do you get them to the cooler from the tank? :screwy: Obviously this information is not personal experience and you are just blowing it out your arse. I have had to move 14" peacock bass and a 16" catfish and the "retarded" method works great using trash bags...

Use a towel or a large net, think about it. Not hard to figure out. Also I said arowanas not other fish, larger arowanas almost always break through the bag because they tend to freak out when being moved, any experience arowana keepers can tell you that. No need to act like a ***** and call me out about something you yourself just proved haven't done. I don't want to argue like a child over a forum so if you have a problem message me, I'm game.

Maybe you should take a leaf out of Bderick67 book, atleast he can take a shot at someone with class.

I have also moved a 12" aro, but I figured it's too small to count. And a towel and net will both damage an aro more than a bag will. Double bag if you are worried about them freaking out and breaking through. My catfish and peacock bass were both worse than the arowana as far as who was jumpier. And as an added bonus, the peacock bass have bony dorsal and anal fins, the catfish has bony pectoral fins and dorsal fin that will stab through a bag, a towel, and get tangled in a net. But if you use a strong enough bag and double bag, then this is not a problem.

And I'm not arguing, I'm just wondering the logic behind what you are trying to convey...

I have also stated personal experience, something which you have not yet shared with us as to why your method is "better." If your arowana came out of a towel or net without damaged fins/barbels then that is a rarity, consider yourself lucky.
