i got this onion plany ive had for years. the only plant that ever lived in any of my tanks. I'd toss it in the trash if i hadnt had it so long. I got it in my 150 which has silica sand in for substrate. Ive tried putting it in a pot, stacking rocks arounds it, using suction cups with clips and im getting frustrated with keeping it held down. im not comfortable with using lead plant weights because i dont want lead in my tanks. Anyone got any ideas how i can keep it down?

heres a pic of my tank, you can see the plant in the middle

i have african cichlids and clown loaches. the cichlids move the sand away from the rocks and the loached pry themselves in between the rocks and knock them down
