I'm planning to DIY the overflow on side glass of my sump tanks.
I'm unable to find a professional who's willing to drill the tank for me.
any tips? I'll be ordering the drill bits online. any tips on glass drilling?

-dont push to hard,

-make a guide for when you start the hole.

-use lots of water

theres a bit more too it but I cant describe how to do it. imo everyone drills glass different I go around in circles rather then sitting still others go dead straight. I would practice on a old sheet of glass as thick as the tanks to get the feel.

Agreed!

To make a guide use the hole saw to drill a hole in a piece of scrap 1/8 ~ 1/4" plywood. Hold the piece of scrap plywood with the hole in it on the aquarium with the hole in the plywood lined up to where you want the hole in the aquarium to be. Put the hole saw in the hole in the in the plywood. Turn on the water then start drilling. This will help a lot getting the hole going without the drill wondering all over the glass.

got to glass-holes.com have everything you need including video i was scared on my first hole too but really its nothing just go slow and keep the water going
