tire track eel colors?

i picked up what i thought was a TT eel on boxing day but it looks different then others I've seen it has a light colored body and only has some patterning on the top half of its body dos anyone have a TT thats looks like that? or is it some other kind of eel? they had a lot at the LFS and they all seemed to look the same(they were all about 5"), sorry but right now I don't have a pic....

Same thing with my fire eel it has no red on him.

after looking around i think i do have a TT eel sence it looks vary simaler too K.O.Ds TT eel in "ATN post your eel pics here"thread but his has more patterning at the end of its body wile mine dosent but i gess time will tell if he gets over 2' i gess hes TT too bad it will take a few years to find out.

Hes about about a foot long and hes like hot dog swimming threw the water

If it's a fire eel it should have spots on the tail. I just picked one up today that's about 20"!!

Tiretrack Eel, or Mastacembelus favusIt has a large natural distribution and many variations to its color pattern

Well my fire eel has no red what so ever. Im thinking that will change once he gets bigger

thanks stotty that looks almost exacley the same iam getting a digital camera soon so hopefully i can posta pic of him and my fire eel(iam going to get another fire eel now sence there on for $10 at the LFS!)
