My tiretrack eel won't eat nothing but baby mollies. I have tried frozen blood worms, live small meal worms, live red worms, ghost shrimp, and silver sides. Won't take nothing. All i read is how these things eat so much and even out of your hands. Am i doing something wrong?
Ok,i just went and choped up a few red worms and tossed them in. Im not sure were the track eel is i did not see him. But,all the other fish in the tank was settled down and sleeping. The 2 pictus was swiming around a little but not like they do in the light. I guess ill do this for a while and try to build up on baby mollis. I tried to feed him all these bye hand with tongs, and just droping in bye him,and tonight i just tossed it in. thanks for any help

Have you tried earthworms? My fire eel loves them. Also, how long have you had him? It took my fire eel about a week and a half to settle down and start eating.

sorry i just seen this i had started when i got him. So 1 week last night. I tried red worms last night.
He is in with other fish so at first i was tring to feed him with tongs. I am breeding mollise and he will take thim hard. But, aanything else, he turns his nose up to. I try allday every day so i'm thinking i'm going to try and just though in a few peaces of red worms in at night for a few days. Then try again with the worms, blood worms. I was told that they dont respond to starving like an oscar will. The eel will just dye before he eats something it don't won't.
A little off typic i know but, will this "freshwater" snowflake be the same way? man i hope not..
