I have a Ctenopoma, Pokey, who hates living in my African tank.
He's a great fish and I've had him since he was a tiny little baby leaf, but he just hasn't been the same since I got rid of the Datnoid tank. He was good friends with the Dats.
So... any of you Chicago Datnoid freaks: If you promise to take good care of him and NOT get rid of him two months from now (I'm sick of giving fish away only to see them up for sale almost immediately), you can have him.
He's about fist-sized. Call it 4 inches. He hasn't had a growth spurt in a while. I think living in a well fed Dat tank will beef him right up though.
If you have something like eartheaters or Mbuna fry or a peaceful SA fish or something to trade for him, that'd be appreciated (and then I could be convinced to deliver him), but what I care most about is him going to a good home.
I live right by Wrigley.
I'll try to get a pic. He doesn't come out much these days so it could be a while.
