The Petco in my town has three oscars at about 6" and 8". The girl working told me she'd sell two of them to me for $15. First of all, is that a good deal? (I think so) but second of all, I'm waiting to get a price quote on a coal grunter in a week or so! What to do? I'm going to consolidate a tank to make room for a 55, to get the grunter, if I can. I guess if anyone wants some nice oscars for cheap, then go for it!

Its the standard cost of oscars around me. You don't have room for 3 first off. Personally I think an oscar is only good with some smaller fish in a 55 so I am not really sure what you are wanting to do.

just wondering if it sounded like a good pick up. I'm leaning towards not getting them, though.

$15 for TWO? Petco sells their 4-inchers for like $12.99

I don't think I would put it in the 55, but in the 75. And I only wanted one, mayyyyybe two. I think I'm going to wait for the coal grunter, though.

I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see the price........ :nilly:

in australia, they are around 10 bucks each when theyre bout 5cm (sorry i cant judge in inches) but you can barely give them away when they get bigger so i dont know if thats that good of a deal

i got 2 12" oscars and a 10" pleco for $15 at my local petco. if you have the room, you should be able to get them for less. they probiably came in from a customer they got too big for. they let them go on a donation to a fund to help house and rescue mistreated animals. therefor tell her you'll give her $5 each or just $5 for one and she should take it, its a donation not a purchase so there's no warranty on life. if it dies tomorrow from natural causes its your problem.
