To All Bleheri Lovers

Hi fellas...

i juz wanna check wif you Bleheri lovers... simply bcuz if u read in my earlier thread i bought 2 bleheris... after which i decided i couldn't juz take 2 so i went 2 the local fish farm here in SG and i bought 2 more... which makes it 4...

1st night i went to sleep next morning i woke up wif only 3 left... 2 were fine but 1 had a torn mouth... so my qns here is simply tis... do male Bleheris try 2 establish dominance among each other and among the females as well?

cuz frankly i've been looking high and low and i can't find the other bleheri... and i've read somewhere about how 2 males will actually lock-lips and fight... but i can't remember where... so i juz need some confirmation...

or you guys feel free to lemme know wad's on uR mind... let's share our experiences...

two male will indeed lock mouths from time to time and sometimes results in damage to the mouth. i doubt they would of eaten the fourth fish though and i would imagine its either jammed its self into some crevice somewhere or has escaped the tank , you might be lucky and have found a pair with your first two ,hence the excessive agression , useally unless a pair forms rainbows are fairly peacfull as far as snakeheads go .
is there any aggression between the original two ?

the original 2 had no aggression... tat's the interesting part... but when the other 2 arrived... which i guess might haf highly been 1 male and 1 female as well... which might haf sort of led 2 the 2 conflicting males skirmish... and now i haf 3 bleheris left in my tank... LoL... which indeed sucks... cuz like wad u said the 1 lost might haf got itself outta the tank or lodged in some crevice...

any small gaps in your tank? bleheri are well documented escape artist and will somehow manage to find the most tiny space to escape your tank. check the entire floor of the room. seal all gaps! seal all gaps! seal all gaps!

LoL... i've searched the floor and the area around like umpteen times... jeeez man... still can't find the 1 tat escaped from alcatraz... LoL... dude do u happen 2 haf any idea how 2 tell a male from a female?
