just wondering how they are doing? i just bought a small 4 inch, one eyed buettikoferi "gold dust" (ironic how the end of the pronunciation ends with the sound "eye")
and i haven't seen any bulge in his belly since i got him, most of my other polys his size seem to get plenty to eat and thier bellies bulge after feeding, ive never seen anything in his mouth...

i know they have really strong sense of smell, but im wondering is his blindness is handicapping him. he is the smallest in the tank but i hope it doesnt stay that way

Well the one-eyed senegal I have has ended up being smaller then the rest of my poly collection but is healthy looking and still feeds well.

I've got a one eye jack Lapradei, Endi and Weeksii. All have superb appetite. But if they are in a comm, they will tend to lose out as their ability to feed is some how much slower than the rest, so ensure ample food for them so these slow eaters get a piece of whats theirs. Enjoy ur new fish! :)

My one eyed bichir thrives, but he lives in my pants.
