sup arro keepers!
Thinking about getting my first arro!
I keep central and south american juvees (texans and festaes) in a 168 g 5'X2'X2'
my fish swim in the bottom and middle never the top.

can I keep one arro(or more) without probs, if so what kind of arro, or does this sound like a mistake!
thanks for reading.

you... might get away with.. one.. depending.. on how stock.. your tank is.. cause i know.. a lot of cichlid.. owners.. over stock.. their tanks.. no offence.. to anyone that does that out there.. but if it is.. it is no place for an aro

too small for life. I would suggest 240g minimum

I would say no if you get a silver aro because silver can grow up to 3ft or more. It will be fine for an asian arowana but also depend how many fish in your tank and how big is your filter. I have 6x2x2 ft with a 60gal sump for 1 aro about 16-18" and 8 parrots 5-6" and they are still doing fine.

my tank is actually 60"X27"X26" I think it is around 168 but I'm just layzee to type it all out. Any ways, thanks for all the input. I don't think I'll be getting one. I'm not for over crowding and I think 4 potential monsters is already enough for that space. Its just tempting while my fish are still small and that top half is uninhabited.

it's 182gal and the aro would probably grow too fast and clean out your tank anyway:D
