To background or not to background?

Hey all,

1.no background light on in room
2. No background lights off in room
3. background light on in room
4. Background light off in room

With the tank up against that light wall it makes the tank look spacious and bright.

Fish hate spacious and bright. They like cozy and secluded.

I find that the fish in a tank with a non painted back will hide a lot more than fish in a tank with a back ground painted dark.

But I've only owned common fish store variety fish and I've never dealt in Exotics, so your mileage may vary.
 
Well,mine never told me what they liked or hated but they sure seem to enjoy my spacious and bright tank.

I agree. I did somE backlights on my new tank

Yeah these fish dont seem to mind either way. Theyre not afraid of much. Not even my hand when i clean the aquarium.
